Only a bad performance by Ronnie can lead to Ding winning, but I can't really remember the last time Ronnie played bad!
    German masters last qualifying round.

I'm really excited about tonight's final, even though I won't be able to watch it.

Ding will obviously want to win here, in China and at the World's (pretty much everything), but he has already has one of the great snooker seasons ever. And then you have Ronnie.

The thing with Ding, and I think it is a forum thing where we as pseudo-analyst and pundits can micro-scrutinize everything, is that even though he has won four full ranking events this year, the caliber of opponents has not been the best - Guodong at the Shanghai Masters and Mehta at the Indian Open. Obviously I have not accounted for who he has faced prior to the finals and he can only beat who he is front of him, but my point is that beating O'Sullivan will only heighten his achievements thus far.

Does anyone else find it incredible how Ronnie's game just tightens up as the tournament progresses.
He said he'd had about 6 hours on the snooker table in the month that lead up to the Welsh Open. He was quite loose in the first match with Travis missing balls that he'd normally get but as the tournaments progressed he's getting all the match play he requires to sharpen his game. I just find it amazing how quickly he can get match sharp.

There is that but Ding seems to get bogged down when it come's to O'Sullivan over thinking his natural game, i stand by my comment if yesterdays O'Sullivan turns up then i'm sure he will win.

Fantastic to watch . For me the couple of breaks he had , especially the 65 , were better to watch than a century . Awesome stuff . Cue ball control was sublime at times .

Agreed. The big four (Ronnie, Hendry, Williams, Higgins) used to keep each other in their seats in their day. Now they've all aged except Ronnie and most of the younger players today do not sustain their top form for the whole duration of their match.

I hope Ding plays well throughout the match tomorrow.
