It's going to be 2 - 0 to Barry in no time.

Of course, I meant this season. O'Sullivan and Ding have also met in the final of the Northern Ireland Trophy in 2006, while Robertson and Ding played the Grand Prix final in 2009.

O'Sullivan and Robertson haven't played a big final yet, apart from the one-session World Open in 2010, but they've at least met a couple of times in the World Championship.

Took the words out of my mouth, Ding has really come on since those days though, i hope we get the dream final but the Hawk is in the way first.

Perhaps not, but Ding, O'Sullivan and Robertson have been doing their best to outdo each other all season, each with their own unique achievements, and this would be the first time two of those players met in a major final, so I'm getting a little excited.

But of course, if Hawkins wins tonight, hats off to him, and I'm sure that final would be a good one as well.

The last frame was amazing from Ding. Played at least 5-6 pretty amazing shots to keep the break going. His determination to finish it in 1 go even with much better safety options.. wow... even the crowd was responding in disbelief on some of those shots.

    Anyway, good clearance from Ding.

Every time he does this! Another total clearance in the last frame, a 118, possibly one of the lowest I've seen.

His fifth final of the season, and he if plays O'Sullivan tomorrow, it won't be just for the Welsh Open title, but also for the title of the best player in the world.

A couple of close frames, but they've mostly gone to Ding, so he is only a frame from victory now. He is bound to get a couple of chances in the last three frames and it's hard to see him not taking one.

Are the BBC finally listening to their viewers? That's twice in as many days they've taken the decision to 'stay with the snooker' when running late. Good signs.

Everyone is going on about Ronnie beating Ding in the final. Your forgetting he has to beat Hawkins first. Anything can happen in snooker. If Ronnie wants to win he will but atm ll he is concerned about is running.

Must admit, I thought ding was going pull away in the 5th, but this is turning into a belter of a match.
