Final result of the Morning's Play Veteran and Former World N0 3 Thailand's James Wattana beats Tom Ford 4-2, another good win for James after beating Matthew Stevens 5-0 last week in The China Open Qualifiers.

Stephen Maguire The Defending champion beats Sam Baird 4-3 from 3-1 down, to progress to the last 16, I recall Sam Baird missing a match winning blue to the middle pocket against Mark Selby in the 2012 event when 3-2 up and went on to loose the match 4-3
Unlucky for Sam he should have beaten Maguire 4-1, but Once again missed the blue this time to a corner pocket for the match.

Sam looks mentally weak maybe needs more experience on tv tables, should have put an out of sorts maguire out on numerous occasions today...

Maguire looks not very comfortable. He seems to be injured in some way....Definitely not cueing as usual...

Aaaaargh Willie saying that was a kick! Baird was cueing down over the black, the cue ball was bouncing when it hit the red, hence the bad contact. Not always a kick!

Well SO far this year I picked Ding a few times and Robertson once and Mark Allen and Trump Selby EW in various events and my outside bet as always Jack - won nothing but i still believe in him - Lisowski
I am up about 180 odd pounds at the bookmakers -
I am now switching for a laugh to keep it interesting and as I actually fancy Marco Fu to do well in something this year - maybe here - I have noticed an improvement in his cue action - never seen him feather before - he still looks quite solid but his positional play is better he seems to have more cue power and he is now scoring more heavy - couple that with an amazing temperament - best in the game really and you have a very dangerous player.
We shall see - money down.Last edited by Byrom; 24 February 2014, 10:08 AM.

Matthew Stevens v Ian Burns - Matthew Stevens @ 1.53 that's a very good odd.
Mark Williams v Tian Pengfei - Mark Williams @ 1.50 another very good odd.
