Here we go.......any shocks on the cards? Remember 82 when Davis got hammered by Knowles

Always bound to be a shock - Kyren Wilson possibly.

The BBCs coverage of the first day looks very good, it jumps around from channel to channel a bit, but it's on from 10am to 11pm with just a 15 minute gap. Quite promising for the rest of the tournament. Keep it up aunty.

Anyway, here we go! Is Robin Hull going to be Robin' Ronnie? Will he 'Finnish' The Rocket's 2014 hopes? C'MON HULLY!!

                    The fast and the furious,
                    The slow and labourious,
All of us, glorious parts of the whole!

Indeed good bit of coverage on the Beeb today...good job! However...I'm torn between the Beeb and Eurosport as the HD quality picture of Eurosport is just sooo much better than the SD of the Beeb. Commentary atm from Neil Foulds so Eurosport here I come

Am I the only one with goosebumps and getting a bit teary-eyed (yeah I know, I'm a softy) at the start of each year's WSC? So excited!

And here here...go Robin! Give the Roster a run for his dough

I suspect that Ronnie has been spending a lot of time practising. He looks very sharp.
