If he has any ambition of being world champion he won't win it going for every shot full on.
He pushes the boat out a bit too much. Those type of shots are exciting for the crowds especially the occasional snooker enthusiast. But there's a time for it, and I thought it was the wrong time to do that.
Had he took a bit more care he might have won that frame and who knows what would have happened then

Any other player would not have played that yells at the pace Trump did. In fact it didn't need that pace at all, the cloths are plenty fast enough to get good position.
Even if that shot is one he can get, doesn't mean he has to play it the way he . To me it looked lack a lack of self control

Sorry but being annoyed by a mobile phone is no reason for smashing that yellow in the middle bage.....or at least trying to. It was just another example of how poor Trump is mentally. A more seasonned player would have taken a deep breath, took a moment, recomposed himself and carry on....Instead, Trump went full blast again in exhibition mode. Like good ol' George would say..."Hey, what did you expect??"
Trump has a lot of work to do this summer......and it should start by booking a session with Steve Peters.
Please criticise his play in constructive and honest ways rather than twisting the truth in order to suit your bias.

Who's Trump's manager? I think he could do with some wise-old-head guidance. He never looked like winning that game, right from the off. He tries to come across as confident and laid back but the only person he's fooling is himself. Ding didn't even play that well and, late rally aside by Judd, was pretty comfortable.

Well done Ding. You beat a player ranked 4th in the world. Both didn't play well but it's about getting over the line and winning. Also the after match interview he showed maturity, respect and professionalism for the game and opponent. Very modest guy indeed.
The commentators bias to Trump is so obvious, he's the poster child for BBC snooker, second to Ronnie though, he's not retired yet! The BBC hype's Judd so much that he actually thinks he's head a shoulders above everyone else. Judd "On my day I can beat anyone" true to a certain extent but on his B game he can lose to practically anyone!!! No one brings their A game to every tournament it's about how good your B game is. Food for thought Trump.

Disappointing attitude there IMHO...
Very sour grapes from Judd that is too.
