Incredible story with Alan. Fantastic to see him in the semifinals after 23 years. Never would have thought that, but I'm really happy for him.
I'm taunted to say that on paper it looks now very much like a Ding - Selby final. But with McManus beating Higgins - who would have thought this, I don't think even Alan himself - it just simply shows us that nearly everything is possible.

Super solid match player in his day see was McManus, had to peel him off the table.
I'm not surprised him beating Higgins, they know each other's game so well.

Yeah, I'm hoping for a McManus fairytale now, but even Ding winning it would be a little interesting, whereas Selby has looked utterly miserable throughout the tournament and not played terribly pretty stuff as always.
