What a performance by McManus, I think Higgins was thinking of the winners prize - therefore the 300,000 figure crept in his mind.. he has lost out twice now on that haha.
Gutsy comeback by Barry, credit to Fu for holding it together as well.
And two days ago the only thing people could talk about in here were how little entertainmanet there were left in this tournament. Three dramatic quarters and one run away.
Gotta feel sorry for Hawkins, all the effort to put out O'Sullivan, almost looks like taking it to a decider, doesn't manage to get on a red, plays a good safety and loses to a brilliant pot and clearance. If ever a player didn't deserve to lose a match it was Hawkins. Snooker, such a cruel game at times.
Lovely post-match interview with McManus on Eurosport. Sadly the schedule may work against. He's first out tomorrow against a fresh Ding and then an early start on Friday as well. But who knows. I would dearly love to see him lift the title. It would be the ultimate in snooker faitytales. Anyone know what his pre-tournament odds were?
