This is getting nuts...Ding is clearly on another planet since Ponds Forge. He's back at its best.
Funny enough, one mate of mine told me yesterday that he didn't think Ding could go on to win the title because, I quote, "he's not a good enough breakbuilder".......LOL I froze for a sec, starring at him in awe before asking where the hell has he been the last ten years?? Unbelievable...
The overall record in a game of course is 11. In the aforementioned 1994 UK Championship final. While Hendry made 7, Ken Doherty who lost 5-10 made 4 himself.
I'm pretty sure Doherty had no centuries in the 1994 UK final.
The most century breaks in a single game of the World Championship by both players is eight, and was achieved for the first time in the 1999 World Championship semi-final between Hendry and O'Sullivan (four each).[61] It was equalled by Hendry and Peter Ebdon during the 2002 final. This record was tied again by O'Sullivan and Barry Hawkins in the final of the 2013 World Snooker Championship

Cheers for that Jim. Interesting stat. 11 in 15 frames! Wow.
I was referring to Hendry's individual record, yes, but the record for most centuries in a match could also fall here. Hawkins and Robertson also had eight in their quarter-final last year, apart from those already mentioned. Only a couple more needed here, so I definitely think the record is going.
Ah I see misinterpreted your question indeed. Not sure...one of our in-house stats-ies will know I'm sure
