Ding has his top confidence back, something he was lacking last year. His bogey man, Ronnie is out

He can handle Selby;s slow play and fudging (unlike Ronnie and Judd who outwardly get annoyed and want to punch Selby's face in, like the rest of us)

Ding has patience, precision, i really can't see him not winning

It would be right for him to be the first World Champion from Asia and it will take snooker which is already a popular sport in China to another level

I'm not having a go at pros I have been lucky enough to watch a couple practice and you are right they are that good, better than I ever expected to be honest, so it's no reflection on them when I say there is something wrong with the tables. I have never backed the big bags theory but just from incidents I have seen this year there has been around eight to ten times a shot has been played and they have said ,he's missed it ,then it goes in and they sound shocked. These are ex pros saying that so it's reasonable to believe them.

I have spent time with so many different pros who all say they're the same as most Star tables...

They make em look big whatever table they play on.

The commentators talk **** year upon year... Same regurgitated lines including that one.

Pottr he hit the Cush six to eight inches above the pocket on one shot and it went in. Even the commentators said it should never have gone in and they are ex pros, should they go and play on a star table and report back to you?

    The pockets are tight.

They're just that good... If you think different, go and play on a STAR table...

upload a video of you playing... We'll all see how 'generous' you find them x

Yeah, it is the fact that shots are going in off the near jaw which is quite shocking. In recent years the pockets have always accepted balls on the far knuckle if the ball was rolled in. But this championship I have lost count of the number of shots which were clearly 'missed' but somehow went in... even the commentators have been calling shots out incorrectly. It is a joke when players of this standard can pot the balls off the inside bump at speed and can absolutely smash the balls in off the far knuckle.

I mean I guess it is slightly balanced out by how poorly the cushions are playing but even so.

That last long red from Selby just now never looked in either.... and the power he could use on the yellow down the rail..... just makes a joke out of these tables.

They are half way to an American pool table.

I don't think that last red from Selby would have gone in on many club tables!

    Indeed. That was brilliant.

4:2 Selby now despite he is still playing far from his best.

Anyway, I think Fu is missing his chance here.... had enough chances to level up to 3-3 already. When you are the underdog you can't afford to miss good chances.

I'm watching on Eurosport and I'm getting a bit frustrated with the commentators moaning about the length of the last 2 frames, the scrappy nature and so on. The beauty of snooker as a game is that you can have a 7 min century in one frame and a 50 min tactical battle the next. I don't understand the desire to see century after century and implying anything other than that is poor standard or crap.
