Lovely post-match interview with McManus on Eurosport. Sadly the schedule may work against. He's first out tomorrow against a fresh Ding and then an early start on Friday as well. But who knows. I would dearly love to see him lift the title. It would be the ultimate in snooker faitytales. Anyone know what his pre-tournament odds were?
It' been incredible viewing today lads eh!!
McManus played superb against Higgins from start to finish. The first session yesterday morning he played immensely well and carried it on today. It's a wonderful story and I for one really hope he makes the final now. I've been keeping tabs on Fu and Barry's match too. What a game that has been also. I'll need to watch it all on youtube later.
Wow Alan McManus in the semi final of the World's, Leicester going to win the premier league,
I'm off to the bookies tomorrow to put a fiver on the Queen announcing she's a shape shifting lizard in this years Xmas speech
Well, did not expect that, well played McManus! Now I hope him to make the final.
The run of ballsfor Hawkins in last couple frames is incredible, but the blue Marco missed, he can only blame himself, if he is going to lose. Second blue he should not miss, the other one in 16th frame.
Yes Fu has pretty much bottled it a couple of times. He has a tendency to do so though. I can still see this one going all the way!

*two qualifiers in the semifinals facing each other, I think this might be kinda rare, anyone?
This is truly the biggest shock in the game if McManus was to reach the semi final at 45 years of age. Considering the standard of the players today and the fact he's done very little in the game is remarkable.
All this and the fact he's playing with a new cue that he's not been using long makes it even the more amazing.
He won the Masters. Since when is winning the Masters "doing very little"?
Very happy for McManus. I didn't get to see much of it as I've been sweating the Fu/Hawkins match. What a story if he made the finals. I want to say that he won't get through Ding, but I would have said that about Higgins.
This is why I love the World Championships and it's long format. There is always an engrossing narrative that develops over the course of the event, no matter what happens.
