Wow don't see pros cue across the ball like that very often. Must have been ten inches off the pocket.

Good frame for Gould to win...now hoping he can keep himself together and pinch another couple.

Is Perry a bogey player for Allen? I have it in the back of my head he may be.

It doesn't really surprise me that Bingham and Murphy are out, they had a very tough draw. But I was pretty sure of Robertson to get through. Holt played superbly though. He used most of the many chances the Australian gifted him and his nerves didn't leave him in the end.

But there have been plenty of early upsets in the past at the crucible. And there are still many of the greatest of the game in the tournament. Can't agree with those that only wish a final with Ronnie and are not interested in seeing some other great players.
I for myself would love a final between Selby and Ding or Selby and Higgins.
Yes,and what an awful World Championship it was in 1982 !

Oh Martin! Lovely long red, decent split off the black and then the missed red, could be very costly. Did he rush it, just a bit?

Some players are simply not good enough to play at the crucible and sadly that is the case for Mann.

I think he had a fortunate qualifying draw and came up against 2 out of form players who would have usually beaten him. He was very lucky to stay on the MT and only scraped a place through the ET rankings, otherwise he'd have to go through q school with no certainty of getting back on the MT.

Yes I think so as well. He looks rather nervous out there. Of course he can be forgiven for that, this being his virgin Crucible and all
