    • Wilson and Allen is close, I guess that is something. Some decent breaks as well, both are playing reasonably well.

spring is until Thursday 21 June and the post was sent just after 1200noon BST...
or at least in the UK

who are you leaning towards in these QFs?

I don't have any favourite player/s but some that I prefer than others.

Only Carter is one that I would not want to win:wink:

I'm really warming to Kyren, I like his style, both on and off the table. But I'd be happy for any of these to lift the trophy.
Hawkins v Ding is getting very nervy indeed. Did you see Ding's impression of Joe Perry when Barry potted the red from a miscue?

            The fast and the furious,
            The slow and labourious,
All of us, glorious parts of the whole!

            • Ding can actually be okay with being only 3-5 behind after the first session. He didn't play very well.

                  • Would like to see Ding or Williams to win this, maybe Hawkins. Big no to Allen and Higgins. Carter would be a disaster. Wilson just doesn't turn me up. And Trump is just a bad loser who'd like to be Ronnie but is nowhere near his level.

Dont get me wrong no offense to anybody, just rooting for my favourites.

                    • I would love to see Ding win it.
Second choices would be one of the old masters Higgins or Williams.
I would also be fine with Wilson and Hawkins.
                      Allen would be okay.
The only two I wouldn't like to see lifting the trophy would be Trump and Carter.

                          • The closer to the top of the list the better,

                            Higgins
                            Ding
                            Williams
                            Trump
                            Hawkins
                            Allen
                            Carter
                            Wilson

                              • Before the quarter-final matches started Allen was a slight favorite over Wilson and Ding was a fairly big favorite (1/2) over Hawkins. Now, in progress, both are close to pick 'em. My money would be on Wilson, with the Ding match really too close to call and probably headed for 13-12 or 13-11.

Higgins is a 3/5 odds on favorite and Trump is 6/5. That suggests about a 60% chance of Higgins winning. I have a feeling that, with the pressure off, Trump will surprise some people. Williams is about as big a favourite over Carter as Ding was over Hawkins before that much started. As strange as it may seem, I think that match is more about how Carter plays. If he can maintain the level that he had late in the match against O'Sullivan, I'm not sure if Williams can stay with him.
