Nice 1/4 final lineup that few would have predicted.
If Fu can continue his form he's gonna take some beating...

It certainly looks like his eye op was successful

                Marco with breaks of 118, 103, 96 and 93.
It's fantastic to see him in that kind of form again.

Fu’s eye operation? By the way, I think Williams will win the tournament.

Fu had an eye op midway through last season

No news on why Matthew Stevens pulled out ?

Always liked the way he plays the game , looks so natural . A player that I think should have won a lot more in the game .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

                          Haven't read anything.

I think he had to much of a mental wekaness sometimes. That cost him.

Hawkins is through to the semifinals. Fu on the brink of a defeat.

Stevens has certainly had some memorable losses in matches where he clearly should have won, but I think he still had a very strong career up to about 2007. Yes, his record in major finals is awful, but he contested most of them in arguably the strongest period snooker has ever seen, losing to the likes of Higgins, Williams, Hendry and O'Sullivan, which is nothing to be ashamed of. I think the point where it all went downhill for him though was when Paul Hunter died, because Stevens went from being one of the very best players in the world to basically not being a factor in the game at all, and all in the space of a year or so. He was only 30 at the time, so he could have done so much more in the game...

Anyway, nice to see Barry Hawkins playing well in the first half of the season for a change. Last year it took him about seven months to get his first decent result of the season.

Ok. I didn’t know that. Hard luck for him today. David Gilbert out played him.
