So the world champion exits 6 - 3, Akani believe it! Well, actually I can. The lady in the yellow scarf showed more interest in this match than Mark.

As puns go, I didn't think it was that bad.

Love this shot Akani played against ROS, (last year) partly because of the strike, mainly because he did it against ROS knowing full well what the consequences of missing might be! This guy definitely has the minerals.

It's funny, I was about to comment that the old-timers are not having the best of tournaments, as we are only at the last32 stage and the likes of Higgins, Williams, O'Sullivan, Bingham and others are already out, but then I had another look and noticed eight players still in the tournament are over 40 years old, which is 25% of the field, and another six are in their late 30s.

Hoping for Yuan Sijun against Yan Bingtao and Zhao Xintong against Zhou Yuelong in the semi-finals.

This needs to go on the "lining up the shot" thread. You can see he shifts himself a bit once he's down on the shot. Maybe he does it to compensate for the side?

Awful stuff between Ryan Day and Yan Bingtao towards the end of the match... Both missed so many chances to win the 9th frame, particularly Yan, then Day somehow played himself out of position twice when he had golden chances to win the decider, and he went for silly pots instead of playing safe. Nice clearance from Yan to win it in the end, but he surely has to be worried about how he handled it when the pressure was on...

That summed it up pretty well. It was just a festival of errors for the last three or four frames.

Lisowski vs. Fu was much more fluent. Good to see Lisowski always playing well in those longer formats as well these days. That's a good sign for his future.

A nice 131 clearance by Mark Selby to go 3-1 ahead against Robert Milkins.

It was a nice break wasn't it
Milkins needs to go straight to the practise table and get his arm moving!
                              Up the TSF! :snooker:

Good win for Jack Lisowski. He's into round 3. It's good to see Matthew Stevens in round 3 as well.
