    Really unlucky for Williams... 2 attempts on going into the pack and being left with no red to pot

    wonderful match between day and williams, i cheered for mark, but day was better and he has more luck.... especially in the seventh frame when williams unluckily missed red which has to go in down right pott

    Great stuff from both players, very watchable, and that semi final sounds like it has potential to be just as cracking. Ryan Day had a few less fortunate breakoff shots that Mark Williams took good and proper advantage of. Both had some amazing long pots and good positional play. Ryan certainly is up there with Mark W and Neil of last year (here's to hoping his next season will be better!) as a single ball potter, imho.

    Lucky for me, I am now certain to have at least one favourite in the final
