To me it seemed like both players was potting well and didn´t think much about safety. At least 3 or 4 frames was decided by one player breaking down on a difficult shot and leaving all open to the other.

Another pretty rapid half-century from Selby; in fact it looks like he might be on for a 146...

Ronnie throws it away by smashing the brown when 50 up. He probably wanted to get home more than win the tournament

Punish because of the bad shot selection? Even if he did that on purpose, I don't think it's possible. And what if both or one of those shots would be successful and let him win? It's all just speculations, imho. But then, I haven't seen the match at all.

Neil with a chance to go 3-4 (fingers crossed)

but Bingham seems to creep up on Ali (4-3)
Yes looked like a 117 by Selby. Gets to the point where all three matches are hard to call.

Yes, it seemed this way to me too. I enjoyed the match but wanted to see some safety battle on that last blue irrespective of who won it.

Disappointment that he lost, for sure. but then again, we all know that no one but ronnie is able to equal his brilliance with his idiocy sometimes. that's just the way it is, and eventhough it gets me marvelling everytime, we know that by now.

and well, now one could bring up the old prejudice against the china open that says, who does well there does bad at the worlds and that will surely be comforting for ROS fans

and it's not like fu won undeserved. it was a close match all the time.

You seem to be very well informed about what's going on in Ronnie's head. I am sure he wanted to win.
