As for Ali, it was a solid tournament, but he couldn't quite play his game in the semi, just like Mark, and in the second half of the session, missed more balls which eventually led to the loss..

An intriguing final is on the door now.. Ding v. Williams, which has been predicted since the quarter finals, happened in one way or another..

I agree that Carter probably lost this match in the early stages, when he allowed Williams to get a couple of unlikely frames on the board. But Williams played better and better towards the end.

He'll need to raise it a lot for the final though, at least to the kind of standard he showed in his previous matches. Maybe today was his off day?
