That was related to the red button coverage last year when they still had the capability to show up to five interactive streams. Since October last year there has only been one interactive stream and this has to be shared between all sports/events so there will be times when there is no snooker as the other sports/events get priority. As for the BBC Two evening coverage the BBC Two Schedule confirms there will be no live snooker in the evening at least until Thursday.

At least on freeview, there isn't the bandwidth available to show BBC Three before 7 PM as this is used by CBBC.

Really too bad about the awful BBC coverage. However Eurosport as usual will air many hours during the day and evening sessions, on several HD channels. But the commentary unfortunately is imo not up to par with BBC's pundits (especially Hendry, Doherty, Foulds). I do kinda like Joe Johnson and David Hendon from Eurosport, but the rest of 'm (Hallet, Smith...) are nitwits most of the time. But having said all that...hail hail Eurosport for covering snooker as much as they do!!! :snooker:

    ...counting the days....

    started a topic BBC Coverage

    BBC Coverage

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/snooker/16659380

It looks like there will be live coverage of the morning session on BBC Two for the first time in quite a few years and the afternoon coverage doesn't seem too bad but it seems there will no longer be any live weekday evening coverage on BBC Two which is a disappointment when you consider that around 2000 I believe there was coverage from 1845 to 1930 and 2100 to 2230. Red Button is available but as with the UK Championship this will only be one table and there will be times when other sports/events get priority for the stream leaving no coverage at all.
Working...
