  • Robertsons century record

Hi, I was just wondering how neil robertsons current record of centuries in a season compares to hendrys 53 in the 1994/5 season? Does anyone know how many tournaments, frames and matches hendry played that season to get his record?
I see robertson has played in 24 tournaments so far excluding 6 reds and including the world open and china stilll to be completed. He has played about 100 matches and about 600 frames up to now.

Robertson has 88 so far this season.

    Hendry's centuries 1991/1992 http://www.cuetracker.net/pages/cent...cope=1991/1992

My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
    I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

as you will see from these pages the century per frame rate is very impressive for Robbo

        Robbo 2013/2014 = 1 century per 7.6 frames (http://www.cuetracker.net/pages/cent...ason=2013/2014)
        Hendy 1991/1992 = 1 century per 14.17 frames (http://www.cuetracker.net/pages/cent...ason=1991/1992)

Robertson has a better frame rate he is at 7.6 at the minute, where Hendry made his 53 at a rate of 14.17 frames per century.

so going on that if he keeps this up he will almost could reach a 100 centuries by the end of the season and his rate will be half that of Hendry rate, which is phenomenal.

the site includes the 6-Reds tournament
so that increases the number of frames greatly even though a century is impossible in normal play.
if you wish to count and remove those frames and let us know the actual rate per frame - knock yourself out

as everyone knows, stats can be made to tell any story.

but Robbo's acheivement is superb and I hope he makes the ton

It is fantastic stuff from Robbo, i cant see how he can fail to reach a ton of tons, unless he goes out first round in every tournament left, highly unlikely for someone of his class, i hope he hits his 100th at the Crucible, it will be a special moment.
After 15 reds and 15 blacks i did this http://youtu.be/DupuczMS2o4

I excluded the 6 red tournaments in my calculations. Just totted up 19 tournaments for hendry, 72 matches 635 frames.

The stats dont seem to add up on the cuetracker site. It has robbos century rate at 13.7 and ronnies 38 from 391 frames at 12.7?

these figures are for all time (their whole Pro career) they do not change on the page when you change the season or year.
This has been noted and maybe worked on in the future, other changes/new features take precedence

if you want centuries/frame ratio per season you can go to
                            http://www.cuetracker.net/pages/cent...ason=2013/2014
but as previously mentioned the database takes all professional tournaments and does not diffientiate for 6-Reds

Early exit from the PTC finals. No centuries added to his tally of 92.
