  • Washed set of 1G

Hi guys, my mate put our set of 1G in his dishwasher and they came up very clean, now getting loads of kicks, only ever had a few in all the time we had them before the wash. Anyone else done this before? just a warning in case anyone is thinking of doing it.

    Cheers Ricky.

always heard not to put the balls in a dishwasher - takes off a surface of something or other

did he apply Aramith ball polish after?

unfortunately only elbow grease and time takes care of the balls

I put a favourite film on and sit down with cloth and cleaner or polish
usually when the family are all out

He put a £200 set of balls in a dishwasher and he's still your friend?!

Wow, you can get Aramith ball cleaner for £8.

Please tell me he doesn't already have this but was feeling lazy?

I destroyed the sandwich in the bottoms of my stainless steel sauce pans in the dishwasher, nasty machines.

Phenolic Resin does not like hot water and detergents. Ask Aramith.

Ye we have the Aramith ball cleaner. Lol
WE WERE LAZY, and still mates.
I have arthritis in my hands and it's hard just cleaning one ball with this stuff. I will try cleaning the White with the cleaner to see if it makes any difference?

            Cheers Ricky

I have only ever used warm water( not hot) and elbow grease, no detergent of any kind, they still look brand new.
There was a thread on this ages ago, it might have some useful info about sorting your balls out if you can find it.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

aramith do two types: a ball polish and a ball cleaner

the balls are now clean so maybe the polish would be best but cleaner if that is what you have
                  something better than nothing

                      the big question is?
what film will you watch while doing the balls?

The cleaner is the finishing polish. The other is the ball restorer for stubborn marks or really dirty sets.

My mate took his home to polish, got them out of his boot and the lid of the box slipped off. 22 TCs bouncing down his drive and into the gutter lol
