Wow! Good shot chasmmi! Con Stanbury is correct also.
The hard hitting Canadian who first entered the Championship in 1935. Tragically, Stanbury eventually had to have both legs amputated. He spent the last thirty years of his life in London, mostly as a coach, until his death in 1975.

A noble effort Ginge, but Lawrence is not correct.
In fact, in a) 'mystery player 2.jpg', is playing against 'mystery player 467.jpg', but he has been shelved for next years xmas quiz, otherwise, that may have provided something of a clue ???
