Nope. Note that player h is one of the more younger players pictured. Remember this pic is from the early 50's so, he would have been in his late 20's, perhaps 30.

I posted that once as a BDE quetion on the BBC forum. Pity that site didn't have a search facility.

Have you been on the juice today, The Statman?

On your previous attempt you scored ten correct answers, now you only have nine!

Incorrect are: b, h and now, j also! hehe

Sorry, I meant Willie Smith for no.2, not Sidney!

Mond you, it could have been one of those cameras that went slowly round the circle, giving him time to dart off, remmove a wig and return a couple of positions further down looking different!

    The Statman's answers:-
    a) Alec Brown - correct
    b) Sidney Smith - incorrect
    c) John Pulman - correct
    d) Sidney Smith - correct
    e) Albert Brown - correct
    f) Joe Davis - correct

    (10/12)

I have a book written by Sydney Lee, which I would trust gives the correct spelling. A quaint little paperback instructional book, mainly on billiards. No date given but I would guess either just before or just after WWII.
