my answer has to be right, digged it up deep from some archives.
Now we just have to wait for Statman to resurface from his stats section. Btw I was also right in predicting, that Statman will turn black within a week. He is dark blue already.

Tried to find out about your question Statman but without any success.

got it now: he apologized for forgetting to shake Ronnie's hand at the end of the first session of the Grand Prix. (That was some awsome game by John btw.)

...and the Statman is green already, passing Mitsuko in no time, aiming straight for the black...

Was it to congratulate Ronnie on becoming 'Highland Spring Player of the Year' ?

I believe it was awarded whilst the Grand Prix was on. Don't think it warrants John rushing to his dressing room, but thats my guess anyway.
