154?
(If a player had a free ball on his previous break, potted a red, then missed a colour (Foul and a Miss) and was put in by his opponent - pots black, 15 red-blacks, and the colours).)

Oh yes I should have said – there is no mistake on the part of the referee or either player; the frame progresses totally correctly.

Round 210:
I vaguely remember something about the ref by mistake respotting a red instead of a colour, then it might be higher than 147 and even infinite in theory?

ROUND TWO HUNDRED AND TEN
I'll put this question up from another thread:
What is the highest break that can be made, which does not include a free ball?
This is snooker, not billiards, by the way and it is possible, however unlikely, to occur in a standard frame.

Congratulations snookersfun!
The correct answer is Gary Ponting, who lost 10-2 to Willie Thorne in 1994 and who will be 33 on Tuesday.

ROUND TWO HUNDRED AND NINE
Can you name all players who have appeared at the Crucible before their 20th birthday?
The first complete listing of all correct answers, in any order, in a single post will win the round.

Anyway, it's been 6 weeks since this thread has seen active service, so I will ask ROUND TWO HUNDRED AND NINE
Of all the players who have appeared at the Crucible, and who are still alive, whose is the first birthday of the year? If there is a tie, then select the oldest.

(And, indeed, sometimes the top-15/31 plus the champion – so, if Shaun Murphy had retained the world title in 2006 he would indeed have been a winner from outside the top 16, despite being no.1 seed!)
