Here are my 6 snakewood cues by Riley . The 3rd one in from the left is shorter than the rest...it's 56" long , and you'll notice that the splices are correspondingly shorter than the rest .. which shows it was factory made at that length, rather than being cut down. One of them has it's letter and number stamped on the base of the butt so since these were apparently commemorative cues after E.Js death in 1925 and the 1928 catalogue shows cues with stamps on the shaft...I'd put it between 26/27.

I haven't got absolutely loads, like some of the collectors..about 50ish..I like really old billiard cues, and some of the rare ones..mostly 1 piece hand spliced..What's a goundill cue..I've never seen one.

As in Arthur Goundrill, the one armed player, who once did a exhibition of billiards for King and Queen
            Any pictures of that cue?
            Love to see it

That is interesting...presumably he had some sort of rest end that he could lift off the table with the cue? No..I'd never heard of him ..what weight is the cue?

His left arm was cut hallway down the forearm, so maybe he used his left elbow; I has not read anything about him using any special rest, etc., even though there were many around, especially after WWI; but apparently he was quite a player

There is a picture of him somewhere, let me see...

Yep; I recall being shown lots of different rests that were developed so they could play billiards; it was seen as a form of recuperation.
Some of the designs were pure genius.

                          try the following

How to add images to your TSF posts
You can use a free image-sharing site such as ImgBB, without registering (you can register for free), to upload your images, you may have to do the “not a robot” checks quickly. There are other image sharing sites as well.
                          ImgBB.com
                          Click on "Start Uploading".
Browse to the file and select it, click Open.
Auto delete image - leave as "Don't autodelete".
                          Click "Upload".

Change "Embed Codes" to "BBCode full linked".

Hover mouse over the code in the box, a "COPY" will appear, click this.
Go to your TSF post and paste.
You can repeat for multiple images in a single post.

I think you missed the "Change "Embed Codes" to "BBCode full linked"." step which I think allows the image to display in your post instead of the code

What's' your story with this cue?
