I've reported loads of items to Ebay that are fakes [ Not just cues ] , but the corporate giant is not interested .

Next up is this suspect looking badge on a "Parris Traditional"

Are there any members with the same looking badge on their cue?

Badge looks ok, nice arrows on the shaft and the woods look correct to me. That's a nice trad for someone. 59" as well, so can be shortened to the right size. Shame it's 9mm but if shortened an inch and a half it will probably referrule at 9.25-9.5mm. And no horrid JP joint. That's a good cue for someone. Butt needs to be refinished. Seller a member for 5yrs with a perfect feedback. I'd buy that one.

the badge does look off - "Traditional" looks too long, "Cue" looks too big and low, "John Parris" looks chunky and misaligned; also the joints in the extensions look wrong (poor photo), of course they could be later additions.

The seller prefers collection in person so you'd get to inspect it. It would be a risk for anyone knowingly selling a fake. The real problem is that the fakes are becoming very good and even genuine sellers might not know that they've bought one.

when I used the word "chunky" (for the font) it rang a bell, so I have looked back and this cue looks nearly exactly the same as a previous JP Trad cue that appeared some years ago, supposedly made by a chap in Australia, Carl Aranda, a banned member on TSF - JP1.

More reasons to avoid JP on ebay or anywhere really.

Ez's - the genuine or fake cue thread !!!

your right a Champion cue should have a single kingwood splice on a thin white veneer.
in the photos the badge doesn't look straight.

Ive had about 6 champions cues, and all had king wood front splice and cream/white veneer.
                            I wouldnt touch this cue.
