      Classics are plain ebony butts
to me this ebay cue the badge looks wrong and poorly fitted. Also the butt end looks off, may just be the photo angle but...

      DS - nope

do you think it could be 2005/6 era?
I say that as the fonts look like that time when JP used a different font for a short time.

Something doesn't add up !....2005/6 and no SD joint fitted?...surely they would be fitted as standard by then, if made at the Parris workshop?!

quite possibly, if you look closely you can also just see a hint of red glue

I don't think any parris cue come with an sd as standard they're an optional extra aren't they?

Classic cues don't come with butt joints as standard - that's what makes them different from Ambassador cues

the different fonts from the 2005/6 period does look like this badge but not exactly so...

True enough, JP's site shows the SD joint as a £20+ optional extra on the Classic model

...but any red glue would definitely predate 2005/6 !

                              • exactly the same question oldgit asked me on his JPU thread
The last one I have is 996 but this is probably not the last JPU with red glue.
I have question marks next to some others after this number.
