martin chesworths cues are exactly the same as craftsman cues from kippax near leeds he used to work for them and does buy cues from them, then badges them up with his own ive been in craftsmans shop when he was taking some cues with no badges in

I won't recommend Martin as cuemaker , try mastercue for that range , they're a lot better . Or you could try Welsh Pool Trading if you want a british cue . You can PM him at witty

yes they are exactly the same as craftsman cues, however dont put craftsman down, they are good cue makers.

on that basis, you should go to craftsman as you know they are making the cue direct for u.

what do you mean? u mean chesworth buying off craftsman? yes its been exposed onto this forum.

but as i said, just buy your cue off craftsman, they can make you a great cue for lesser money than other cue makers

i don't see the problem with it - you pay for martins knowledge and experience of which he has plenty. a cue is a cue the badge on it should not matter.

Went to Chesworths during the World Championships after some good recomendations here (Won't say what he said about forum posters however!).

Thought him a tad strange to be honest, a main tour pro was with us to get his ferrule checked but after looking at it and leveling it for a few minutes told him it was fine and gave him a free magnetic chalk clip!.

Now the pro is not in the public eye much as of yet in his first few years on the tour but I thought it strange that a man in the business of snooker could not pick up on the hints.

He obviously thought we were fresh in off the street with not a jot about the game and was rather condesending to be honest.

But when he asked the player who put on his last tip for him cause he made a mess of the ferrule, according to him and got the answer Michael Holt then you would think he would cop on but no the whole act got more bizzare.

Saying that he had a superb stock of cues and accessories and better cuemakers then him have been accused of re-badging over the years.

I've been to his shop in Sheffield, he has a 9 foot table to test out what you are after - you could spend a whole afternoon there if you wanted.... only this year I went on the bloomin bank holiday and it was closed!!! You would think he'd be open then when the world final was on!

As I know...Martin are made cue by himself in a few years ago.
Then I dont know why he OEM in Craftsman.
I own a old Martin before,it really a nice cue better than some JohnParris.
And it not same with craftsman...

But some of friends tell me that Martin now are made in Craftsman...

went to martins shop for a new tip, he was very busy but did my tip immediately, nice guy, very friendly.

saw a fantastic trevor white cue on his cue rack, tried a few shots with it, it was out of this world, but was priced at 675 for a ebony butt with a facing splice of snakewood on a thick maple veneer, trevor would make the same cue for about 350
RIP NOEL, A TRUE TSF LEGEND.
