        • That's very lovely cue. May I know what is the wood for the decorative splice?

          • I don't think so . I believe his dad used to make them . Spoke to his Dad late last year as he kindly sent me some replacement hinges for my case [ gave it a bit of an overhaul ] and he said that he was a little bit too old to stand up and make them all day . But he still has cases on his website , so you could e mail Tony to see if he still makes them.

                    • Hello coveq, it looks ok and when you get the splices all the same, will be very good.
Wish I could do something like that.
When we were apprentices, a mate who was joiner apprentice and played snooker, made his own cue, and was not too bad for a first time, but not as good as yours coveq. He spent many, many years playing with a Eureka and was still playing with it until this last year, when he now has problems with his back. Nearly 78 and was still playing in the local league. The rest of us stopped playing quite some time ago.
