      If you still have the soft copies why don't you do that as I must have send them out to at least 50 different people and it's a bit of a pain as I have to go down to my snooker training computer to do it as I don't have them on this computer

            You are welcome Terry.

            In the Hamlyn Encyclopedia of Snooker templates are used for much bigger pockets than today's wsa standard.

            When did they make the pockets smaller? Was it because the pros hit tons every time the came to the table?

              svendh:

              I believe those drawing reflect the old B&SCC templates which were used for years before that organization packed up and was overtaken by the IBSF. I don't know the story behind the WSA templates or where they were developed from and when the IBSF was formed they had their templates manufactured by Wiraka who totally screwed them up (I have a set here, the middle pockets are unbelievable).

              The IBSF got so many complaints in the first 2 years these original templates were used that they had to change them but their pockets are still slightly less that the 3.5" of the B&SCC ones. I had assume the WSA templates were a copy of the B&SCC ones but with slightly bigger pockets. The WSA templates also bring the fall of the pocket further out into the slate however they are still not as good as the old standard.

              Originally billiard table pockets were cut much smaller as the billiard players could go in-off using helping side.

                Hi, I just downloaded the templates, many thanks. But I cannot understand what color (black, green, red) means what (IBSF, WPBSA, B&SCC in the comparisons... Can you explain, please?

                Thanks, CubaR

                  Red = WPBSA
                  Green = IBSF
                  Black = B&SCC

                  Note the red pockets are the biggest so all that commentary on TV regarding those 'tight' pro pockets take with a grain of salt
