On whether to subscribe to TNT I guess it's one of those that's worth it if you also like other sports. People only interested in the snooker I can see why they'd be upset.

Anyway hope Jak Jones can beat Xintong - sick of hearing about how he's "playing under amateur status" and generally being fawned over. The guy was banned for match fixing, he shouldn't be on tour.

So he (Peifan) won then? Good stuff! I turned it off when it went 9-8 because I was so sure he’d missed the boat.

Yesterday's Eurosport post match chat and interview with Kyren. I bet Allan McManus never gets sea sick.

You'd think Eurosport would be able to afford a decent wide angle lens for their studio shots, wouldn't you?

You make a very valid point there, it's borderline being a conflict of interest. So far we've only heard Murphy on Comms but also Mark Allen has done it plenty too.

I guess it's just something that's been going on now for so long, that the other players have just accepted it. I also think that the same thing should apply to Ronnie and his role on Eurosport in doing analysis and studio work, especially when interviewing his fellow rivals after matches. You could almost see that as having a psychological advantage, having the ability to question their game and performance, you can sow doubt into their mind if you wanted to.

Anyway, back to the WC. I was very impressed with Peifan, he really has a swagger and belief that few of the other Chinese players have. Wilson was simply outplayed, and his head had gone once Peifan got it level. The head shaking and smiles were arrogance, he really thinks he's head and shoulders above everyone, I thought there was more than a hint of disrespect.

Well that’s one of my bets gone already. Shouldn’t have bet against The Crucible Curse.
