Not too much of a surprise though, is it. Chris played great today, took on just about everything he could and he has a well deserved lead now. It's hard to see Robertson, this Robertson, coming back from 7 - 2.

Of course it's not surprising, hence my comment. Robertson's recent Crucible record is pretty poor. After he made at least three quarterfinals he seemed to have lost confidence totally with his last two early exits here. He just doesn't feel comfortable there any longer.
And then on the other hand he drew an in-form player, who is a strong fighter.
These booths for the players to sit in seem awfully small now. How on earth did Big Bill Werbenuick ever manage to squeeze into one of them surrounded by his 10 pints of lager?
Agree mate, not likely. Something special would need to ignite there as far as I'm concerned. I feel Chris has attainted that high match level of play where, unless a higher ranked/level opponent, plays their best, then he is there and very capable of taking a scalp! (Or three)
Yeah, he's been solid and brave, a great combination, hope he can keep it up.
Peifan turning it on in this second session. Can't help thinking of Andrew Lloyd Webber whenever I'm watching him.
