Was wondering what cue Ronnie is using for this tournament? Watching him vs Carter and caught a glimpse of a red badge- a Ton Praram?

Yep, TP.
For all the talk of stage fright and him not being in a good place, lack of practice etc, that can all be dismissed now.
He's a strong contender and his draw is not bad either. Coming in fresh is a big advantage and personally I think he's nailed on for the 8th.

Best of 9 or Best of 11 with mediocre safety but it's going to get found out in the long matches at the crucible. He can't be considered a great until he wins at least 1 more in not in reality 3 more titles. He's got plenty of time to do it in though as players careers now seem to run into their fifties.
I agree 1 doesn't make a great player, but only the greats get 2 or more World Championships in their career.
Selby was world number one for a few years and that is better in my book than his world championship wins, but grinding the focus out of your opponent in order to win and the media letting him get away with it through the false premise that taking bloody ages over everything means you're trying harder and have greater mental strength is more of a con.
At least Trump, like Ronnie has the balls to stand toe to toe with everyone and will test his best game against anyone elses best game.
Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair

Rishi interviewing Ronnie after the match with the same questions Ronnie has been asked countless times.
Why didn't he ask him about his cue, that's what we want to know, that's what I would have asked, hey BBC, gis a job!Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare

The world championship only exists because once upon a time it was the only game in town, times have changed and snooker needs to change with it.

I still go back though to the intimidation factor. He has that aura that makes any player uncomfortable and he feeds off that. I don't see anyone in the top half except Allen standing up to him. So I think he has a very good chance of reaching the semi and then it's all about bottle. He's been written off so many times, I'd never write him off now, especially with a new cue as he may see this as a challenge and could clear his mind.
