Three left handers and an ambidextrous in the semis.

Yes, unless the pockets on the single table are a little less generous and then Ronnie's safety will get him through.

Still trying to find the official announcement.

Fair enough, but he of all people would say that, wouldn't he? 😀

Its showing on the rankings page on the official WST page too, but only on the 1 year list, not on the official 2-year one. Like I say, i'll see if my contact can provide clarity! (might take a while, he's a busy man!)

trains I have messaged a friend who works for World Snooker to see if he can provide clarity, it could just be, as mentioned, that its something that has always been in the rules, just never needed until this point!

Precisely, his big mistake was earlier when he just made sure of the pink into the middle and sacrificed position on the next red. Had he been a bit more aggressive and trusted himself a bit more, we probably wouldn't be having this conversation!

Yes but thats not really something that requires an announcement, theyve not changed any rules or made any special dispensation, its just never happened before that an amateur has made enough money to be prominently featured in the 1 year list! Doesnt need an announcement as we can plainly see before our eyes he's making history by making the semis!

I know but Hazel did mention it just before play started at 7 p.m. last night.

The lack of clarification seemed just as unusual as the top 64 placement itself, don't WS normally make an announcement on such things ?
