The 21st has the following big names playing:
Allen, Robertson, Hawkins, Maguire and Bingham.

    The 22nd has:
Trump, Higgins, Fu, Williams and Murphy.

However in smaller tournaments its usually difficult
to pick the winner. Some good snooker tho.

Be good to see someone of relative obscurity go very far in this tournament which could spur him on to do well in the UK champs too.

Allen is up against Hammad Miah, Robertson has Noppon Saengkham, Hawkins has Craig Steadman, Maguire has Mitchell Mann and Bingham has Joel Walker. I've not heard of any of the guys the big guns have.

Trump has Rory McLeod, Higgins has Vinnie Calabrese, Fu has Barry Pinches, Williams has Tom Ford and Murphy has Lu Ning. I've not heard of Calabrese or Ning.

This is only Calabrese's second year on the Main Tour, but he hasn't had any major success so far and he isn't all that young anymore.

Lu Ning on the other hand is a very interesting prospect. A few years older than the likes of Lyu Haotian, Zhao Xintong, Zhou Yuelong and Yan Bingtao, but he too had success as a wildcard in the past. He reached the last16 of the China Open two years ago, beating Shaun Murphy in the 1st round proper. It will be interesting to see what kind of player he is now.

World Snooker is showing Allen vs Miah and it
looks like an easy outing for Allen at 2-0.
Seems to be a decent sized crowd which is nice.

Francisco Domingues is the 1st Portuguese to win a match on a professional event, but on 2nd round against Mark Davis he don't have any chance. Portuguese players still can't compete with players like Mark Davis, but it's a improvement.

Allen could be heading out at the first hurdle.

Allen through. He cleared the table to win 4-3. Miah played a poor safety with four reds left when he led 63-14.

Poor start for Mark Allen. Miah inexperience save him.

I was watching Allen earlier but didnt watch after
he was ahead as Miah was doing nothing.
Nice 140 break from Robertson to go 2-0 but
he is now only ahead 2-1.
He is playing well but needs to keep doing the
                          one visit playing.

Nice century from Robertson. He needs the
next frame to end it at 4-2.

Robertson was fortunate that his opponent went
in off a red as the table was wide open. Good to
see him thru tho. A shock to see Hawkins out but
nice to see Dale and Brucel thru.
Yes Lawlor is a tough player to watch as is Ebdon.
