I think Ding Junhui will be glad that Higgins won. Read from some where that he would be out of Champion of champions if Gilbert won.

oops, I missed read your post, you are correct I have also read that if either Gilbert or Un-Nooh has won, Ding could have have been out of the CoC.
As Higgins now has two win in the 12month qualifying period he is now seeded for the CoC group stage.
Ding could still be out if the winner of Bulgaria is a new winner-name.

I guess one of them should read Ding ��

Still hard to believe Higgins has won 2 ranking events already this season and 28 for his career. I honestly thought his winning days were behind him

Probably the second best all all-round player ever behind Hendry.

Hendry can be called a lot of things, but best all-round player ? Hendry was a compromiseless attacking player. If he had the safety play of Higgins, Davis or O´Sullivan. He would still be winning titles by now, but he didn´t have that game and it seemed like he didn´t want to change his approch to the game either.
