It's slow players like Ebdon, Dott, Selby and even this year debutant Mitchell Mann who take the p*ss taking an eternity to decide how to pot a straight shot smh
I must admit I avoid matches with these players ,so maybe I don't notice it as much, even Robertson ,who I think is a terrific player can get me reaching for the off button sometimes , the only other suggestion I can think of is a fine system, the ref warns them, if it continues he reports it after the match and the authorities fine them a certain percentage of their winnings.

I would agree that some of the slower players take the mickey - really using it as a tactic and it spoils the match from a viewers perspective. Having said that I wouldn't put Dott into that category, he is (or was) quite an aggressive flowing player.
Robertson and Selby drive me nuts..... Selby is just slow and Robertson seems to cogitate over even the simplest of shots, striding round the table looking at all the options before playing the shot he first spotted 30 seconds ago. I actually can't watch either of them.
Anyway Marco is a very under rated match player in my view and because he doesn't have the pizazz of some of the other players he doesn't get as much respect.
Mark Williams is doing well to be 8-6 up here... one more frame and he is guaranteed a lead over night.... incredible really considering how inconsistent he has been. I like Holt too but I want to see Williams win this.
Ebdon is a fresh voice (to me anyway) in the commentary but needs to speak a bit less.
The kind of incidents that fuel fans of the shot clock are ones like Neil Robertson deliberating over a shot for nearly four minutes following a foul, and then electing to put his player back in (Graeme Dott, if memory serves), but these are few and far between.
And this kind of thing annoys me. Marco Fu refusing pots when his opponent needs about 34 snookers. Stop playing safe, Marcu, and just roll the dam ball over the pocket!
Yeah Robertson another time waster who over think every shot, walking round tables several time then stopping to stare at the ball before walking around again
I wonder if they could put slow players on the clock somehow, like they do in golf.

Disappointing seeing Marco say there should be a 30 sec shot clock in every tournament..
This is the world champs, the crowning glory of any pros snooker career , I think players are entitled to take their time over shots. The ref has the power to give them the hurry up if he feels it's needed.
Strange choice from Mark to pot all the colours up to the pink when he needed a snooker or two?? Much better from him this evening though, thought he was going to take a 5 - 7 lead but it ended up 6 - 6. Bit of banter between the pair of them as well which was nice.
I reckon this one's going all the way, or very close.
