What in the name of all that is holy does that mean, Steve!!?? How the hell does chalk on the cueball cause it to spring off the cushion in such a manner??
I might colour in the cushions right round our tables with chalk as they are dead, might bring them back to life.

Maybe you are not that determined. But I think a major reason is that friends or training partners know each other pretty good and what their opponent doesn't like and have a slight advantage disposing their weaknesses. It seems that Mark Williams was able to do this better than Holt for the most part.

    haha! Now that's funny.

But did you know that the BBC created their own Virgo sound-board years ago?
It's true; Thorne sits alone in the box fiddling with the Virgo board while thinking about what to say next.

In fact, Virgo uttered the phrase "WHERE'S THE CUEBALL GOING?" only once, about twelve years ago.

There has been quite a lot. Williams in particular was getting pretty peeed off at it.

Another short clip, probably the biggest irregular cushion bounce you will ever see :

I don't think anyone in their right mind would want to lose 9 out of 11 frames, but I get your point.

Difficult to see a way back for Holt - got the feeling that to be 4-4 at the end of the morning having led 3-0 he'd missed the boat. That said we've seen 10-6 margins overcome before and Williams has lost a best of 25 having led 10-6 going into Saturday
