Williams was cueing pretty well, just didn't really seem focussed.
Wouldn't surprise me if he comes back into the match in the next session.

Gutted. That was woeful from Williams and Ding had a nice run of the balls too. Mark has a mountain to climb now.
I think that last frame was huge... 50 point lead and to take on that very high risk red when literally all the balls were in play was just 'pushing the boat out'. Unnecessary as he had an easy safety to play and could have even put a red safe if he wanted.

Ding steals the eighth frame. 6-2 up now. Will be a hard battle for Mark Williams to come back there.

Tremendous break from Mark Selby, making a 97 without having black and pink for the major part of the frame and now leading 6-0.

Wilson´s 6 frames down now. It will be quite an achievement to get back.

Wow...how well is Selby playing today. Seems like his old self again...fully in control of the match.

Sigh. Mark playing far from his best AND getting a terrible run of the ball / bounces / kicks / etc. Seriously in danger now. He must get out of this at least 5-3 or Ding is just going to steamroller him.

I can't help but feel Mark is rushing some of these shots and is basically using the tip as an excuse. He got down and played the yellow very quickly and missed it, then did the same with the black. OK he is a naturally a quick player but I think he would do well to take an extra moment and concentrate 100%

I think this tournament is starting to have Higgins vs Selby final written all over it. :upset:

Good start from Selby. Not playing his best, but better than in the previous rounds and looking very solid. It will be very difficult for Wilson to recover from 0-4 down.

I love that, that is where great sport is at its best...
Odd, maybe its because I've moved house and now live round the corner from Chigwell or something ;-)
