        Akani Songsermsawad whitewashed Hossein Vafaei.

Edit: There wasn't even play. Does anybody know why Vafaei didn't play?

        Mei Xiwen leads Murphy 3:1.

Selby vs. Cao is a close match with the world champion leading 3-2, but Yupeng is ahead in the sixth.

This ninth frame between Selby and Cao is very tense.

Huge surprise for me is that Mark Jocye beat Anthony McGill convincingly 6-2.

Selby takes it after a long safety battle for the green.

Selby got though with 6-4. Also Murphy into the second round after a close 6-5 over Mei Xiwen.

Barry Hawkins in the meantime suffers another bitter disappointment. He lost 2-6 to Jack Lisowski and in the six tournaments he entered this season he has now lost three times in the first round, twice in the second round and once he didn't even qualify. In the ranking points list for this season alone he is only #49.

Oli Lines miscues - using the new Taom chalk?
Less kicks and "big bounces" but more miscues...

I cant recall the match/player yesterday but there was an awful miscue then as well.

His clothes might something you need to get used to, but Yan Bingtao proves once again he can play very good snooker. He leads O'Sullivan 3-1.

Yan Bingtao purposefully potted the white in the fourth frame after O Sullivan was on top in the safety. O Sullivan was forced to play a tricky shot which swung the advantage back in Yan Bingtaos favour. From then on he's been a mixture of brilliant and fortunate but I can't help thinking that the fouled white was unfair.
