    If Mark Williams wins the UK Championship while Mark Selby loses in the first round, Selby would lose the #1 ranking for the first time since January 2015.

        I think the BBC are scheduled to show this event but not for the first few days I think.

          Mmm. Thanks. Has that always been the case? They usually begin coverage 7 days from the final, but is this something different?

                I thought when you said 'not for the first few days' you were suggesting they'd trimmed their coverage.

                  I'd like to hear some thoughts about the draw:

                  Do you like the way the draw is made at the UK Championship with them going strictly by the ranking even down to the amateurs (so that world number 8 plays world number 121, world number 44 plays world number 85 and world number 64 plays world number 65 and in the next round if world number 64 would win, he would play #1 and #32 would play #33) or would you just prefer 16 (or even 32) seeds and have the rest of the tableau just drawn?
