        groeten terug uit Den Haag.

Btw there should be an Edit button...if not, ask the mods. I seem to remember not having an edit button directly after joining this forum.

Carter with a fine 65, goes up 4-3.

By the way, I guess the missing edit button has got something to do with junior membership. Or I'm just making stuff up (=

I've got a sneaky feeling Maguire's thinking he lost his chance after blowing a big semi final lead v Higgins in 07 but you never know....

I can't say that I agree with Stephen Hendry's assessment of Carter's snooker as "no-risk snooker". If anything carter sometimes plays the wrong shot, or can be somewhat tentative, but to call it "no-risk snooker"...that's a bit over the top for me personally. Shows you how much of an all-out-attacking type player Hendry was/is

Nice lead for Ali now with 5-3 going into the 2nd session later on tomorrow morning.

A slow tempo match so far. Maguire had some excellent pots, but never quite get the help from the table, so he should be relieved to see this session coming to an end.
Carter should be happy with his minor lead, but it's not something significant, as he gave Maguire lots of opportunities.

That session had absolutely no flow to it.

Peter Carter's done a good job not letting Maguire get into his rhythm.

Indeed..... hopefully the table should start to play a bit more consistently for them!!

Fluke snooker, hit-and-hope solution, fluke red, then a huge error in safety, followed by a half century.. Don't ask for anything else!
