really pleased for Mark Williams, I didn't think he'd win from 4-2 down but credit where its due. The century break he had was also superb, looked like the Williams of old, he played quick, like his old self at 4-2 and he should play at that speed all the time.

its not easy to play at that speed when low in confidence. he probably quickened up due to the scoreline, fearing defeat.

i do agree he is better when flowing a bit quicker than of late, but doubt itd do good unless hes getting results. double edged sword.....

In the 2005 Embassy World Championship he entered the last 16.

He should have won that and all. Led Davis 8-2 and lost 13-10 f I am correct. Top 32 place is under threat though this season.

At the top of the bbc2w show just now, Oliver whats-his-name said that Michael Holt has never made it past the last 32 in a tournament !

This must be more bad bbc research ? Surely he beat Ronnie in round 1 in malta a couple of years ago, and must have had other last 16 appearances at least ?

Well he's been to the quarters on three occasions - 1999 UK Champ, 2003 LG Cup and 2005 Grand Prix.

In the 2005 Embassy World Championship he entered the last 16.
