Not only did he struggle to get through the entrance - he also appears to have snagged the pink and black curtains, and they've become lodged onto his shoulders, apparently without him noticing.
I can't help but think they must be affecting his cueing.

You would think that considering his physical appearance he would avoid wearing pink
