tip 1 - stay away from the square brackets
tip 2 - you can copy/paste the square brackets - the start one and the end one - to say break up a quote so you can text between quoted paragraphs

Cheers bud, you could be right don't want to over extend myself, although I do get quite jealous when I see what some can do.

My first thought when reading this was to try and improve your concentration and focus......try and get yourself in a zone to block all things out around you, its important in snooker.......and thats evident when you watch it on TV.....though the ref is always vocalising actions, it could be him quoting the break building, or a foul or whatever action is or has happened in the game, its always been part of the game.

There is also another point for the ref calling the score. I was watching a match where the referee was calling the score. Player A made a break of 36 and then played safe into baulk. Being a referee, I was as interested in the referee's actions as much as the players. Player A was on 27 before he made his 36 break. The referee went to the board and advanced his score to 53.
                  Anyone see anything wrong here?
Yes, of course, Player A now had a score of 63 after his 36 break.

So, hearing the score called is an important part of the match for many reasons. If hearing the score called actually 'puts you off' then I would suggest that perhaps another sport may be more suitable to you.

I hope the marking error was noticed immediately?

It doesn't bother me, it was a hypothetical question. Can't get put off that much with someone saying ONE all the time.
