My new Mike Wooldrige CC01 and my ultra new Tony Glover cue.
The front splice on the TG cue is violet rosewood. I have a mini butt in matching wood and badge with the cue.
    You never stop...both look great!
If it you take the butt of the Glover and combine it with the shaft of the MW then it would be perfect for me.

I had exactly the same thought there... But the MW shaft on the TG butt should have the darker color for me.
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...

In terms of the color I fancy the shaft to be more on the white/clear color rather then the golden/aged color. the grain on the MW look just perfect!!!

          • Chatlag, congratulations you must be proud. Both are beautiful cues, I would take either one. I am curious, is it different oils that cause the shafts to have colour tints?

Yes, it really looks perfect. Even the back side is really beautiful. It has become my favorite cue at the moment I unpacked it. Mike promised me he'd make something really nice for me.

Thank you. Yes, I am really proud of the two beauties. I am sure tony has put some special magic potion on the shaft to get that really aged look on it. But i think the ash is also different.

1pc Mastercue are really very good cues.
Playability wise I think 1pc Mastercues are one of the best cues money can buy.

I prefer the darker shade like that. My welsh pool has a similar tint and (I'm not just saying because its my cue) it was the exact perfect colour for me without me specifying in advance! Luckiest man alive tbh... I left that sort of thing up to them to choose what they thought was best and apparently they have the same taste as me!

Don't like the pale shade of some ash.

                    Very nice cues btw chatlag.

                    • Doesnt seem to be one of these so far....

From the Lewis & Wilson Millenium Range.

Bought it from a friend a while back. Its older, its dented, its had a few mishaps before i bought it but it plays great and wouldnt change it for the world.

Not sure of the specs. I think its around 56.5inch length, 17.5-18oz and 9.5mm tip

P.S. Would anyone be able to tell me what the dark wood just above the badge is? Always wondered.

                      Thanks

                        Looks like a nice cue.

                            • Is it Kingwood? Could be completely wrong so don't trust me on that

                              Cocobola's my second guess...

                              Dan will know

Dan suggests Mexican Rosewood... I did think rosewood first but talked myself out of it.
