Yet again players who are competing are involved in the commentary like Shaun Murphy today. It must be confusing for the Chinese players because I'm sure none of them are invited to commentate. Pure favouritism and there should be a rule that prevents anyone who is still in the tournament from being involved in commentary. I don't know of any other sport where someone still competing in a tournament is providing commentary.
You wouldn't hold it against me would you CC? I tried to give it up, I really did, but I've become addicted to ambient and dangerously allergic to the BBC, what could I do? Betting sites? meh, I need the real thing, whatever the cost. May god forgive me. π

You make a very valid point there, it's borderline being a conflict of interest. So far we've only heard Murphy on Comms but also Mark Allen has done it plenty too.
I guess it's just something that's been going on now for so long, that the other players have just accepted it. I also think that the same thing should apply to Ronnie and his role on Eurosport in doing analysis and studio work, especially when interviewing his fellow rivals after matches. You could almost see that as having a psychological advantage, having the ability to question their game and performance, you can sow doubt into their mind if you wanted to.
Anyway, back to the WC. I was very impressed with Peifan, he really has a swagger and belief that few of the other Chinese players have. Wilson was simply outplayed, and his head had gone once Peifan got it level. The head shaking and smiles were arrogance, he really thinks he's head and shoulders above everyone, I thought there was more than a hint of disrespect.
