Hope they don't end up re-racking this one, I love this kind of unusual table, kind of takes them out of their comfort zone a bit.

Higgins gets in first and makes one, Joe gets in and makes a ten red 41, the difference between a pure snooker player and a snooker player who came from pool.
Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair

I said the same thing to my Mrs. But for all that, the other guy comes in, pots a few balls and wins.

The fast and the furious,
The slow and labourious,
All of us, glorious parts of the whole!
I think he gets the balance right to be honest. He knows when to shut up and let the players do the talking on the table which is something a lot of other commentators struggle with.
I wouldn’t argue with that, but I sometimes find myself wondering where he’s disappeared to.
Seems to me the seeded players are at such a disadvantage now coming into this cold compared to their opponent who's had at least 2 matches to sharpen up.
Same thing happened last year as I think 8 qualifiers won through to the second round. It's always been tough for the seeded players to get through round one, but given how small the gap is now between the top 16 and the rest of the field, I think it's unlikely we'll ever see a time when the majority of seeds get past the opening round.
I can't see this being good for the game or fans in the long run. Fans like to see an underdog but if too many big seeds keep going out in round one, interest in the tournament will surely fade. Be interesting to hear thoughts from others on this!
Yeah with 8 seeds out in the 1st round last year (50%)
and this year after the first 6 matches it’s running at (60%)
with 4 of the 6 seeds out.
Maybe this is the start of another curse?
We already have the First time world champion curse (0-23)
This could be the First round seeded curse!
