Funny, I was thinking exactly the opposite.

This was always a possibility after Robertson's performance on Thursday, but I still expected O'Sullivan to raise his game today and make a match of it.

Robertson is getting a lot of praise for his performance, like O'Sullivan usually gets when he wins 6-1, but it has to be said he didn't get much resistance today. Maybe he has contributed a lot to that himself, particularly with that clearance in the 2nd frame, but even so... He will still have to win the final, it won't just be gifted to him.

We will probably get a "is this the end for O'Sullivan?" thread again now, but I wouldn't panic just yet. Everyone can have a bad day, especially at his age.

Agree. Neil's game hasn't been perfect but good enough to beat terrible Ronnie's.

Ronnie needs to enter more tournaments and get match sharp.
He's frankly got away with murder and needs to start getting serious about the game or he will start dropping out of the rankings.

Robbo I feel is on a new level relative to the other players now. I really don't think anyone can touch him with the form that he has.

well , I could smell it.... it was inevitable..... 13 straight wins by Ronnie ( 4 COC , 7 UK , 2 Masters).
He is human , after all.... no one can win forever....
He is still the best in the world ,but can't win each match....

Wow! I think we all expected a much closer game than that. I don't remember the last time Ronnie was beaten by that much.

    Well done Neil!

Robertson is bound to have a better safety success as Ronnie missed loads of easy balls!!

Good win for Neil. Hopefully this is not the start of the decline for Ronnie.

Robertson played extremely well and made
very few mistakes. Great break building.
O'Sullivan was way off his game.
