McLeod should never have missed that green in frame 3, which let O'Sullivan back in the match.

First shock. Jamie Jones has beaten Smurphy. Well done Jamie.

Don't know about shock...Jones is an excellent player and with a best of 7 really anything can happen But...well done to him just as well.

I think Shaun, the Masters champion was expected to win that.

Ronnie finally beat Rory. Very scrappy stuff. If he can keep going until it turns to just 2 (or less) tables he will do okay.

Yes, but still no shock...as I said, best of 7...everything can happen on the day.

Would have loved to have seen the Murphy - Jones match instead...

A shame to see Murphy out as he has become one
of my fave players. The short matches tho can be
                  tough to win.

tbf he had enough luck since the masters. won matches he shouldnt and lost one match in the german masters final he shouldnt.

Gotta love it when Eurosport decide to show a replay instead of broadcasting live matches.

Williams vs Pinches on World Snooker. Not the match
I would like to see as both Robertson and Trump are
playing matches but I can see why its shown.

As for Murphy, he has been playing amazing snooker
and I wouldnt consider it luck at all.

Williams and Pinches are both playing poorly. Not a
                          great match to watch.

I was looking forward to watching ronnie play on the BBC....then they cut the coverage after an hour and I had to resort just watching the live scoring on the world snooker website because I don't have access to Eurosport.
I am trying to support the BBC but they make it bloody difficult

Williams and Pinches are the last match still playing
and they are 2-2. It has been a horribly played match
by both players and it appears that a lot of fans have
had enuff and are leaving. I dont blame them. It is
brutal to watch both players struggling to pot balls
                              and make decent breaks.

Williams misses an easy pink in the side so I think
its time to switch the game off and watch TV or
something. Tomorrow hopefully will provide some
                              exciting matches.

Yeah, I think it's fair to say that today wasn't exactly a great day of snooker. O'Sullivan and Williams got dragged down to their opponents' level, which is what can happen when the top players are not pushed to play well. Robertson was the only player who showed some good snooker, but of course that just made for a one-sided match. I suspect we might get something similar tomorrow, unfortunately.

Personally, I would prefer to watch the more evenly-matched pairings, such as Stevens-Doherty tonight.
